Course Description

Course Overview

Through a reflective and sociological analysis of social media and its impact on modern life, this course aims to introduce students to different aspects of social media communication strategies around the world placing these new communication tools in the greater context of grand societal changes.
Approach
At the completion of the course, students will be able to analyse, evaluate, and create social media messages via blogging, and understand the complex messages we receive on social media while applying critical thinking skills to a wide range of issues. Thus acquiring vital social media literacy skills .
